My Work

Sculpture for HP Indigo

posted: November 22, 2013

This is a sculpture I just finished comissioned by HP Indigo in Israel.

It sits now in their plant in Kiryat gat, Israel. This is the second project we do together and it is just a pleasure to work with this company. What level of professionalism and kindness.

The sculpture was made together with Efi Hogesta in his workshop in Burgata, Israel.

The idea was to use only the 'junk' of the company, i.e. materials they don't need anymore. It is of course like a puzzle. We collect a lot of junk and then try to understand what they want to become. In this case they wanted to be a bird. The beek is the ink cartridge of the printing machine. The feathers are the ink containers. The legs are the drums. etc etc.

It was exciting working on this as it is my first outdoors sculpture. Great to work with Efi and with Yossi, his assistant. They brought the Bird to a different level in terms of sturdiness, finishing, durability etc. A real pleasure working with them.

The bird is on her way. Lower your head birdy.

Yossi and Efi, my partners.

Almogit from HP Indigo with her new friend.

Bye bye birdy.
