I had the pleasure to be invited to #Gather, a conference organized by Seeds of Peace, an organization we all should know about.

In Gather, which was held in the Jordanian Dead Sea, (the lowest or deepest point on earth) more than 200 participants from Israel, Gaza, Ramallah, Bethlehem, East Jerusalem, Jordan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, US, UK, Canada and other countries got together in order to work on creating a network of people who want to make a change in the Middle East (mainly). Many people were had attended the camps of the Seeds of Peace as teenagers and some of them were seeing for the first time friends they had met in camp years ago.

Many other participants were extremely inspiring individuals connected with NGOs that promote Coexistense in the Middle East.

It was a great experience to be exposed to people I obviously don't usually get to meet, and to hear how somebody (an individual) from the 'other side' thinks and feels. How? The answer: 'Pretty much the way I think'

We held a workshop as part of the conference and I got to learn a lot from some really beautiful people that inhabit a world with way lower amounts of cynicism than what I am used to encounter. Hopefully some of the connections and friendships developed in Gather will develop into substancial innitiatives.

It was overall a very humbling experience.

Here are some pictures from our workshop.
