3rd grade Portraits in Johannesburg

posted: September 16, 2016

Merle Maselle, the uberenergetic and talented art teacher at King David School in Johannesburg made a magnificent art project with her students inspired by the work of three artists: Marc Chagall, Roy Lichtenstein and your humble narrator. My luck was that the two others couldn't attend so I was the one invited for the opening of the exhibition. The third graders created lovely portraits either of themselves or of people they admire.

During my visit to Johannesburg I conducted workshops with theachers and art students in the school.
